Hannah Davis, an OpenAI Scholar, is a programmer and generative musician based in New York City. She is the creator of “TransProse”, a system that identifies emotions in a piece of text and translates them into a musical piece with a similar emotional tone. “TransProse”, as with her other AI music, has been played at The Louvre, the BMW Museum, and the Fabrica Alta, among others. Davis is currently creating unique datasets for art and ML, and generatively scoring films. Through exploring emotions in AI, she’s interested in the concept of “subjective data” and is researching this area further.
